Dansathon invites dancers, technologists, designers, creatives and makers to imagine the future of dance.
This playful, social event is an opportunity to explore ways to harness the power of dance and technology to connect worlds and cross boundaries.
Dansathon is the first European dance hackathon. Sadler’s Wells, together with Théâtre de Liège, is one of the partners to produce this event.
It’s a 3-day 3-city event, taking place 28-30 September in London, Lyon and
Liege. The London event takes place at Plexal in Here East (Olympic Park).
Our call for participation is now
open!
We are looking for people who
love dance and dancing (any form, any level) to join and play different roles in
the event (including dance artists, makers and designers of all kinds, creative
technologists, communicators) and imagine the future of dance.
There is also a
€10,000 prize up for grabs as seed fund for the winning project at the end.
It’s free to participate; hotel, food, and some travel into London (or other partner cities Lyon
and Liege) will be covered.

Application deadline is 1st June.
This is also an opportunity for
people with skills that are not directly dance-related, but with passion for
dance to get involved in the art form, so if you have contacts and networks who
