Full time, permanent position
Sadler’s Wells is a world-leading creative organisation,
dedicated to presenting, producing and touring dance made today in all its
forms. Sadler’s Wells commissions, presents and produces more dance than any
other theatre in the world – from tango to hip hop, ballet to flamenco,
Bollywood to cutting-edge contemporary dance.
This is an exciting and
complex time in the theatre’s history as we recover from the impact the
coronavirus pandemic has had on our business model and work towards opening a
fourth venue in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London in 2023. This mix
of recovery and expansion, which takes place in the context of a rich and
ambitious artistic programme, requires a Director of Marketing and Sales with
drive and commercial acumen.
The incoming Director of Marketing and Sales will be responsible for
devising and delivering sales and audience development strategies that drive
income, increase access, deepen loyalty and diversify engagement with Sadler’s
Wells. Candidates will need to bring a proven track record of driving revenue and
diversifying audiences through sales initiatives and marketing campaigns.
Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of CRM and ticketing
systems and experience in digital campaigns. They will need to demonstrate
significant leadership with the ability to devise and deliver strategies and work
collaboratively across different teams to ensure alignment with brand vision. It
is important than candidates have a passion for Sadler’s Wells’ values,
mission, vision and objectives.
This is a senior role which will make a fundamental contribution to our
recovery, future growth and development. This role offers you the opportunity
to bring your ideas, passion, knowledge and experience to Sadler’s Wells. In
return, the successful candidate will be part of a strong and supportive team
in a world-class arts organisation.
